SERVICES PROVIDED AND HOURLY RATES

Our Principal - Akin Williams has primary responsibility for the legal work carried out on each matter and is charged out at £350.00 - £450.00 per hour plus 20% vat depending on the nature of the work and its complexity. Our Principal has over 17 years post qualification experience as a solicitor in the UK and over 30 years post qualification experience as a solicitor from a foreign common law jurisdiction.

Other assistants who may work with our Principal from time to time include barristers and other experts whose costs range from £150 per hour plus 20% vat to £500 per hour plus 20% vat depending on the nature of the matter and the skill required and complexity involved. The retainer letter we provide our Client's will contain detailed information for the Client on our costs and those experts who will work on the matter with our Principal before the work is undertaken.

Generally most of our work is carried out on the basis of our hourly rates and such work includes;

  1. The collection and distribution of assets belonging to a person following their death, where these are within the UK whether or not the the matters are contested. Costs and Pricing
  2. Advice on Divorce matters, immigration applications,( excluding asylum Applications) and representation at Tribunals and all courts. Costs and Pricing.
  3. Advice on real estate and property transactions. Costs and Pricing
  4. Commercial law and contract dispute advice and representation. Costs and Pricing
  5. Employment Law Advice and representation. Costs and Pricing
  6. Immigration law representation. Costs and Pricing
  7. Litigation law Advice and Representation. Costs and Pricing

In most matters we will try to agree a fee based on our hourly rates for each aspect of the work carried out prior to carrying out the work for the Client.

SERVICES PROVIDED AND FIXED FEES

The various services provided for individuals for which we charge fixed fees as stated above include;

  1. Statutory and other Declarations
    Cost; £10 per page witnessed. If we have to provide advice on a document we will charge at our hourly rate.
  2. FCO Legalisations
    Cost; £450 plus 20% vat excluding the cost of the legalisation which will be obtained at the time of the application.
  3. Non contested divorces
    Cost; £1000 plus 20% vat - £1500 plus 20% vat.
  4. Initial Consultation
    Cost; £100.00 plus 20% vat

EMPLOYMENT LAW

We represented clients on a wide range of employment matters, including;

  • Providing advice to an employee in public office in respect of discrimination claims against the employer.

We provided advice and representation in the following areas;
